Now derelict, Golden Grove was built by the Cawdor family and is the largest house in the valley. Unfortunately, the hall is no longer being maintained and is now rapidly falling into ruin. Prior to being closed, for years, the hall was used as an agricultural college with the grounds being open to the public. The grounds have since been closed and the country park and its own buildings are also now largely abandoned.
