Rinsey Head, Cornwall

Cliffs - SW face of the head

Uploader's Comments

Not easily accessible; there is a 'Fisherman's Ledge' a little to the NW, and a couple of spots where a kayak can be pulled up, then a scramble up onto the rocks can be made in places. Getting to this point at low tide along the rocks from Praa Sands is harder than it looks, as there are several zawns in the way, and unless you can comfortably solo on wet granite at a grade around 6a, you'd better be prepared to swim. Similar problems exist on the approach from Rinsey Cove to the east. A small number of hardish climbs have been recorded on these cliffs, but the owners of the house have requested that they are not repeated, as they effectively top out in the garden.
