The road to the ferry and to the River & Rail public house and restaurant, and the small hamlet of Hampton Loade, is a no through road. The warning sign on the post is because some satellite navigation devices send motorists down to the ferry. But it can't take cars and it only runs at limited times. On the right is the entrance road to South Staffordshire Water's Hampton Loade Treatment Plant and some houses.
