The woman on the quad bike is, with her husband and her sheepdog, bringing sheep down from the high moors for lambing. Moorland sheep lamb a few weeks later than lowland sheep so that they have a chance to eat nourishing new grass before lambing, which starts growth later on the moorland than on the grasslands below.
