Westernhope Moor, County Durham

Heather moorland north of summit of Westernhope Moor

Uploader's Comments

Directly north from the trig point on Westernhope Moor lies heather moorland. At first it's grooved by streamlets but the heather eventually becomes tussocky as here. The ridge descends into the valley below, Western Hope, a tributary valley of Weardale which also lies ahead.
