Newton Fell, Cumbria

Outcrops, Newton Fell

Uploader's Comments

The long ridge of Newton Fell is composed of Silurian siltstone in common with much of the land around south eastern Lakeland. It outcrops all over the flanks and on the various tops of the fell, this being on the un-named 221m summit above High Newton.
