The tanker had presumably been delivering to remote dwellings in this area south of Wensleydale. The Hazchem code 1223 is for Kerosene, still used for heating and cooking in some rural areas. The company name is Kettlewell Fuels: Kettlewell is about 25km west of here but two valleys away and a long way round by road.
