Grade II Listed village shop by John Coates Carter built 1910 to 1913. The roof was restored in 2001 with the overhang being slightly cut back. An Arts-and-Crafts movement design of great originality it has some similarity to an old colonial railway station by American architect H H Richardson built in the early years of the 1880s.
