A linear earthwork, or cross-dyke, consisting of a bank and ditch crosses the neck of the ridge just below the hill. A gap in the centre of the photo appears to have been the focus of two former tracks, one from either side of White Knowe. A recent farm track now passes directly over the hill and the current Clennell Street is below the hill, to the right.
