Whelp Stone Crag, North Yorkshire

North from Whelp Stone Crag

Uploader's Comments

Although not particularly high at 371m the rocky spine of the crag is sufficiently distant from higher land to allow extensive views in all directions. To the north are Ingleborough (left) and Pen-y-ghent, two of the famous 'Three Peaks' of the Yorkshire Dales. Below, on the left is the eastern edge of the large Gisburn Forest where a multitude of mountain bikers were whizzing about.
