Owned by the Woodland Trust, Wheeldon Copse until recently farmland, was hundreds of years ago part of a vast ancient forest that stretched from the Welsh hills to the Pennines. The Woodland Trust is encouraging the growth of trees and wild flowers without the extensive use of chemicals.
