The coastal plateau along this stretch of coast has been deeply incised by a series of short west-draining valleys. The smooth profile of the streams has been truncated by relatively rapid coastal erosion, leaving a series of hanging valleys as here, where a waterfall (inaccessible) below the bridge cascades onto the storm beach below.
