Sheep pasture, Snilesworth

Uploader's Comments

Ewes in upland pasture by the Hawnby to Osmotherley road in January. It might seem a little unkind to keep sheep out in pastures like this in the middle of winter, but to me their life seems preferable to that of the many sheep seen in muddy brown fields in the Vale of Mowbray feeding on turnips or other root crops and without any walls or trees for shelter.
