Forest track in plantation near Westcowburn head

Uploader's Comments

Westcowburn Head, prior to afforestation would have been an area of moorland. The peaty nature of that ground is apparent in this image where a route through the trees has been churned by the passage of vehicles. Such a track would be of no use when timber extraction begins and much heavier equipment would be in use.
