'Roman sandals' Waymerk Kist

Uploader's Comments

One of a series of 'kists' along the Southern Upland Way containing token coins. This refers to the Roman Road of Dere Street which might have followed the track here on its route southwards from Lauder. The hinged lid was left closed after taking this photograph.
