The White Hart has been an inn since the 17th century and today it still offers accommodation, plus food and a bar. The Grade II listing describes it as 18th century but these listings are not always correct on dates. It was at one time known as the White Hart Inn and for a while as Ye Olde White Hart but this rather twee name has been dropped.
