The northern side of Hutton Roof Crags is covered with a thick jungle of alder saplings and juniper. On the plus side, in summer there are wild raspberries to enjoy and, whilst bushwhacking through it, I did see a badger. The area of limestone pavement in this clearing came as a welcome relief.
