This is part of the old drovers' route from Abergwesyn between Soar-y-Mynydd and Llanddewi-Brefi. The Elenydd moorlands now much as they were, except where covered in forestry, mainly planted in the 1960s and 1970s. Some of this is now being felled for the timber leaving huge swathes of land devastated in appearance.
