Ridge and furrow at Trentlock

Uploader's Comments

A relic of medieval agriculture between Lock Lane and the Erewash Canal. The field on the other side of the canal also shows traces of ridge and furrow ploughing. It is possible that the two fields where originally one field, before the canal cut through in the 1770s.
