Treeton Dyke, Rotherham

Treeton Dyke Glimpsed from the Trans Pennine Trail

Uploader's Comments

This body of water was created when the River Rother was diverted around 1840 in order to accommodate the Midland Railway. Although much replanted, Hail Mary Hill Wood to the right of picture has ancient status, pre-dating 1600.
