The major lane links Aldworth with Upper Basildon. It seems to be called Reading Road at one point, tho' that place seems mercifully far off when up on these downs. To the left is a lane to Southridge Farm. The potholed state of the lane is fairly typical of West Berkshire's stock of minor roads.
