The Witch of the Woods house is a remote dwelling with no road access. Members of the Welles/Wells family owned the property, originally built in the 16/17th Century. The listed grade II building has recently (completed August 2010) been re-roofed to prevent any further decay. Financed from Nidderdale AONB.
