Elstead Moat is a biggish pond at the western margin of the Thursley national nature reserve, surrounded by a belt of conifers and birches. This shot was taken at about 2.45 on a bright December afternoon. Thin ice covered certain parts of the pond - presumably those shaded throughout the day from direct sunlight. The sharpness of the reflections is evidence that conditions were pretty much windless.
