This short link road connects south-east Thornbury with the A38 leading to Bristol. This link, and the road to the north (left of the camera), was probably built primarily as access to the Oldbury nuclear power station, to avoid heavy traffic through the town centre. This 'easterly ring road' now seems to serve as the limit beyond which Thornbury will not be allowed to expand. For how long, I wonder ...
