The Jubilee Pool was built in 1935 and was a popular amenity for many years. By 1992, however, it had become dilapidated and was under threat of closure or radical recasting. The Jubilee Pool Association, formed that year, and architect John Clarke collaborated to have the pool listed and preserved in its original form. It reopened in refurbished form in 1994, presumably some time after this image was taken early that year.
