To Swigs Hole Farm, some of whose buildings can be seen in the distance. The Paddock Wood to Hawkhurst Railway had intermediate stations at Horsmonden, Goudhurst and Cranbrook and was opened in two stages. The first from Paddock Wood to Hope Mill (subsequently renamed Goudhurst, on the first day of this section's opening) on 4 September 1893 for Goudhurst and Lamberhurst and the second stage from Goudhurst to Hawkhurst on 4 September 1893. The line closed completely on 12 June 1961.
