Actually there are two such pairs of isolated trees in this field adjacent to the railway line. As is often the case, looking at an old 1:25000 map shows them to be on the line of former field boundaries, in fact one large field has been created from merging four small ones. The evening sun casts long shadows of the two trees in the field.
