The Bank, Carlisle

Clennell Street below Outer Cock Law

Uploader's Comments

The current track takes a route on the left flank of the hill along a fence line. There are at least eight separate former alignments of the track, showing as deep hollow-ways, on the steep slopes of the hillside to its right. An old boundary dyke or linear earthwork, approaches the track from the Hexmoor Sike on the left and may have continued further across the lower slopes of Outer Cock Law.
