Shetcombe Wood, Gloucestershire

Alderton Telephone Exchange, Glos

Uploader's Comments

Situated on the B4077 road near the junction with the B4078 road, this modern TE is built of Cotswold stone and would have replaced the former TEs at Alderton and nearby Toddington some while ago. Besides those two villages, this TE also serves Alstone, Didbrook, Great Washbourne and Little Washbourne plus the surrounding rural area. Ventilation louvres and rather faint warning notices can be seen on this TE. Its numbering range is (01242) 620xxx, 621xxx, the (01242) referring to the Cheltenham group of TEs, and its postcode is GL54 5BY.
