Shacklesborough Moss, County Durham

Summit area of Shacklesborough

Uploader's Comments

For its location the minor rise of Shacklesborough is a striking feature set as it is within an extensive area of dreary moorland. The summit area is a flat grassy plateau with a trig point and a tall, well built cairn but the steep rise to the plateau is rimmed with rock outcrops. Beyond lie Mickle Fell to the left with Bink Moss at the right, partly concealed by the cairn.
