The Salt House at Port Eynon

Uploader's Comments

The Salt House is thought to have been built in the mid 16th century as a site of salt production. However, production is thought to have ceased by the mid 17th century, although the buildings continued to be used as cottages by quarrymen and oyster fishermen until they were finally abandoned in about 1900.
