Sand, Highland

NE to Gruinard Island and across Gruinard Bay to Coigach Mountains above Loch Broom and Ullapool, 1957

Uploader's Comments

A scene, for once in magnificently fine weather. Right to left: Beinn Ghobhlach (saddle-mountain, 2,082 ft.) and Ben More Coigach (with the three humps, the highest 2,438 ft); nearer on the left is the grim Gruinard Island - still, in 1957, very much forbidden-access from wartime anthrax cultivation.
