Rivenhall, par. and vil., Essex, 2½ miles N. of Witham, 3669 ac., pop. 690; P.O., and P.O., T.O. at Rivenhall End, 2 miles NE. of Witham; near vil. is Rivenhall Place, seat; remains of a Roman villa were found near the church; Tusser (1515-1580), the poet, was a native.
