At a junction between public rights of way, these useful Waymarker posts are labelled 'footpath' and 'bridleway'. Without such posts, and little yellow arrows attached to gates and stiles, finding ones way through the maze of often overgrown paths and lanes in this area would be quite a navigational challenge.
