This square 8849 is 'difficult' in that it is not crossed by any road or other public right of way. The track photographed does not appear on my paper copy of the OS 1:25000 (although it is shown on the version with this website) and lies entirely on private ground; here we are about 400m south of the A59. Furthermore the field is usually occupied by cattle, including on this occasion a very large bull. However, I live to tell the tale.
