Ramsbury's parish church stands on the site of a Saxon cathedral and was the centre of a bishopric from 909AD. The present building dates back to the 13th century, the outer walls being faced with flints and with limestone detailing. Some carved Saxon stones and slabs can be seen inside the church, having been discovered during a late Victorian restoration.
