Having discovered that the Crossways Inn was no longer an inn, I was reassured to see that this one, the next pub shown on my map, was still a pub. Delight turned to dismay when I discovered that it shuts at lunchtime on winter weekdays. Two long miles to Farmborough to find refreshment.
