Andrew Watkins worked in a London office that imported shark oil when, after hearing of the Carradale Incident in September 1937 he set up commercial hunting for basking sharks in Kilbrannon Sound. Shark hunting in Scottish waters could have been a success (Watkins) or failure (Maxwell). Not much remains of the factory but here it is
