The north-easterly end of Nathan's Lane peters out here and several footpaths lead walkers in the direction of Polser Brook that runs across the distant meadows, from north-west to south-east. Previously bin lorries used to access a large waste landfill site situated on the other side of the brook. Access however, was via a service lane off Radcliffe Road (the A52). The footpath on the left leads to this former - now closed - waste site.
