An old plan of this site shows two shafts within close proximity to each other with buildings part surrounding the site. Little remains now apart from this shaft and a few low walls. There is reputed to be an adit below which may be at or below sea level. This copper mine was a short lived affair, beginning operations in the 1820's and closing in 1836.
