Rock formations in the walls of Parwyd inlet

Uploader's Comments

Parwyd is an inlet which separates the two headlands of Pen-y-Cil and Mynydd Bychestyn. The cliffs are formed of faulted slices of Ordovician sedimentary rocks abutting Pre-Cambrian rocks of the Lleyn Shear Zone. Parwyd is a word meaning a wall, and particularly a dividing wall.
