One of the last projects I worked on in the water industry in 1998/9 was the replacement of two small covered reservoirs on Oliver's Mount with one large on on this site (called Low Mount). The roof of the old, circular, reservoir can be seen in the background; aerial mapping shows that it has indeed now been replaced by a larger rectangular one. The man in the foreground is holding a traditional surveyor's staff, nowadays more often replaced with a reflective target.
