Oxwich, par. and vil., Gower, Glamorgan - par., 1265 ac. (17 water) and 514 tidal water and foreshore, pop. 229; the vil. is on Oxwich Bay, 12 miles SW. of Swansea. Oxwich Bay is 3½ miles wide across the entrance, and penetrates 2 miles. Near Oxwich Point, the W. extremity of the bay, stands Oxwich Castle, built in the reign of Henry VIII.
