This is a rare case of a rural public house re-opening, although this has happened in Shropshire a few times in recent years. With the re-opening in October 2014, the signage was restored, albeit slightly altered from its previous appearance. There is a similar sign on the other side of this part of the building. Presumably there was once another pub nearby to justify the New Inn name. If so, it has long disappeared, but most people will be grateful that this very traditional and friendly pub is up and running again.
