Flora MacDonald (Fionnghal Nic Dhomhnaill in Gaelic), who famously assisted Charles Edward Stewart in the aftermath of the last Jacobite Uprising, lived in Kingsburgh for a short period of her life, following her marriage to Allan MacDonald of Kingsburgh in 1750.
