The infant river passes the mound on which the Ted Hughes memorial stone is sited; see [[[4602734]]]. The river (seen looking downstream) is minuscule here, and hidden in the long grass, but you can see evidence of the erosion it can achieve on the side of the mound, which is probably debris from tin-mining.
