Neal's Shaw

Uploader's Comments

Shaw is a word derived from middle English meaning a thicket or small wood. Dr Johnson includes it in his 1755 dictionary, but its use nowadays may be localized. There are quite a few Shaws as place names around the Chilterns, but I'm not aware of its use in mainstream speech.
