Fallen trees to the left block the main pathway. But although this area of forestry has been cleared it is not easy to walk through. The twigs and branches hide the fact that the ground is very marshy beneath. In fact the whole area was still so boggy following the exceptionally wet winter of 2015 that walking was still very difficult in the spring.
