Isle of Ewe

Uploader's Comments

Made of sandstone, this island forms a natural breakwater for ships entering upper Loch Ewe. Long denuded of its natural forest, the island has been the home of crofters for hundreds of years. Only a few survive there today, eking out a living from fishing and farming.
