The section of the canal just south of the new Redwith road bridge is at present being restored by volunteers of the Shropshire Union Canal Society and The Waterways Recovery Group. The first section has had the towing path side completed and a retaining wall is being built on the offside, this will be faced with stone at water level.[[[555694]]]
